Soul Reaper Sickle – DnD new magic weapon

Soul Reaper Sickle

Today’s new magic item for Dungeons & Dragons is a sickle tainted with necromancy. Add this dark magic weapon to your D&D campaign with a horror setting like Ravenloft or any game where players must battle the undead.

Soul Reaper Sickle

Weapon (sickle),  rare

These weapons were used by the hordes of warrior ghouls raised by the necromancer Zalarak. Most were destroyed during the War of the Risen Dead, but some of the sickles survived, hidden by the sands and wielded by the ghouls that outlived their master.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Soul Reaper. Once per turn, you can use this weapon to slice at your enemy’s soul. On a hit, the target must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. If it fails, the target takes an additional 2d6 necrotic damage, and you regain hit points equal to half the amount of necrotic damage dealt. On a success, there is no effect. This attack has no effect on undead or fiends.

Zalarak’s Curse. If you are killed while holding this weapon and are not raised within 1 hour, your body rises as a ghoul.

Proficiency with a sickle allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
