The Mummy King

A short Dungeons & Dragons adventure for levels 12-16

Many centuries ago, the warrior king Sargon Stoneshield made a wish for immortality. His wish was granted but twisted, and the proud king was killed then resurrected as a Mummy Lord. Sargon was imprisoned in his tomb, where he slowly went mad.

A party of brave but foolish adventurers recently broke into Sargon’s tomb, freeing the undead king. Sargon Stoneshield now spreads darkness and death across the land. Legends say that the only way to stop Sargon and his small army of Mummy warriors is to shatter his enchanted shield.

The mummy lord has an AC 20 and his mummy minions have AC 13 because they have shields. To defeat Sargon, you must find the Shieldbreaker Hammer that is hidden in his tomb. The tomb also contains treasure befitting a mummy king.
