With a stone-like hide and jagged rocks for teeth and claws, rock trolls have the appearance of the minerals that are their primary diet. Although they are typically less violent than their carnivorous cousins, rock trolls take offense easily and have long memories. An angry rock troll will wait centuries to take revenge on a perceived enemy.

Despite their appearance, rock trolls are not earth elementals. However, they share a mysterious connection to the elemental plane. Rock trolls speak Terran, often befriend earth elementals, and have a tendency to build intricate stacked rock spirals and symbols. Their remarkable building skills have been utilized by other races on a few occasions, but this seldom turns out well due to the rock trolls’ temperament.
