Powerball – new DnD spell

Powerball spell

“There’s too many of them,” Sarata growled, firing another arrow into the advancing horde. “We’ll have to go around!”

The elven ranger knew that the narrow pass was the fastest path to Tarokun. To find another way would take days, a delay that could cost many innocent lives.

Sarata looked back at her companion. Blacwyn grinned and reached into his components pouch. “Nonsense. Try this.”

Blacwyn rubbed a bit of rabbit fur against a small crystal ball and whispered something in the arcane tongue.

An iridescent ball of crackling energy formed around Sarata. The ranger drew her blades and dashed forward.

The Powerball rolled straight through the advancing horde. Hobgoblin warriors were thrown back violently as lightning sizzled around the ball. Sarata ran inside the ball, cutting down the one hobgoblin warlord strong enough to survive the lightning.

At the far end of the pass, Sarata slid to a stop as the crackling energy faded around her. She looked back at the devastation and smiled.
