This new magic item for Dungeons & Dragons is made for druids. The elven king Levram Willowspur wielded this mace during his rule, defending the forests of Eldaryn against human settlers from neighboring Andoria.
After Levram’s passing, the artificer Geneu Tercer created several copies of the king’s mace and distributed them to powerful druids across the realms.
Mace of the Forest King
Weapon (mace), very rare (requires attunement by a druid)
You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Binding Vines. A creature struck by the mace must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or become restrained by twisting vines for 1 minute. A target restrained in this way can use an action to make a DC 15 Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Petals Burst. As an action, you cause the mace to blast thousands of colorful flower petals at one creature you can see within 30 feet of you. The creature must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or become blinded for 1 minute. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Forest Wisdom. You can cast Commune with Nature (Basic Rules, pg. 224) as an action.
Once each property is used, it can’t be used again until the next dawn.
Proficiency with a mace allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
