Zoranth the Hunter tracked his prey across continents and planes with the help of this crossbow that was crafted in Avernus.
Weapon (light crossbow), very rare (requires attunement)
You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. On a successful hit, choose whether or not to activate the Tracking feature.
Tracking. The target takes no damage and does not notice the hit. For the next 24 hours, you know the direction and distance to the target, as long as it’s on the same plane of existence. If the target is on a different plane, you know which one, but not the exact location there. Only one target can be tracked at a time using this feature.
Proficiency with a light crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
