Actions
Multiattack. The bubblebutt makes two Claw attacks. If both hit, it makes a Bite attack as a bonus action.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft, 1 target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) slashing damage.
Flatulent Blast (Recharge 5–6). The bubblebutt expels poisonous gas in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw, taking 21 (6d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Background
Despite their comical appearance and name, bubblebutts are highly effective aerial ambush predators. Their inflated posterior air sacs are lighter than air, allowing bubblebutts to lurk in clouds, waiting to attack birds or other flying prey.
Bubblebutts maneuver by releasing small bursts of flatulence, using their tiny rear legs as rudders. Their long, spindly arms dangle down to grab any potential meal. The bubblebutt’s gas can also be released as a defense.
“When we saw the ‘Beware of Bubblebutts’ sign, we all thought it was a joke. Ragnarod was hoping for a few thick-bottomed orc ladies. Instead, we got these farting blue freaks that almost flew off with poor Mimsy. Damn those blasted bubblebutts!”
