Not every ranger in Dungeons & Dragons is a champion of good. Some have strayed into darkness, embracing the savage side of nature and rejecting the moral guidelines of civilized society. Whether they serve a dark master or they are dangerous lone predators, these rangers are a serious menace in any wild environment.

Ranger Danger
A short Dungeons & Dragons adventure for Levels 11-15
Hunters from a nearby village have been found in the forest, bound to a tree with vines and their bodies ravaged by wild animals. The village leaders hire you to find whoever or whatever is responsible.
After entering the gloomy forest, you must make a DC 15 Perception check. If you succeed, you notice that you are being watched by a cloaked human man and his Dire Wolf companion. The man is Kieran Slade, a Dark Ranger who is tired of people hunting in his forest.
Slade admits that he tied up the hunters and left them for the wolves after the men killed a sacred white stag. He gives you one warning to leave the forest and attacks if you do not comply. The ranger has a Quiver of Ammunition and a Longsword +1 that you may keep if he is defeated.
