This new magic weapon for Dungeons & Dragons emits an aura of sadness that deals psychic damage to creatures within 10 feet. Deep in the Realm of Shadows, the ravenfolk wield these sickles against anyone who rises against their dark queen.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Aura of Sorrow. As a bonus action, you can speak the command word to cause the sickle to emanate dark melancholy for 1 minute. Any creature that hits you with a melee attack or ends its turn within 10 feet of you must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw, taking 2d8 psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. 

Proficiency with a sickle allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

The Shadowfell is a dark realm permeated with sadness and dread. Its sorrowful energy permeates any magic item forged there, infusing weapons like this sickle with the power to drain happiness and life.

Some might consider this a cursed weapon. Indeed, you must be careful not to use the Aura of Sorrow if other members of the party are close to you, especially if they are low on hit points.
