“Everything was going smoothly until the bard dropped a piano on my head.”
The piano is a powerful musical instrument, but not exactly portable… until now. This magic item lets your D&D character take a piano wherever they go.
Pocket Piano
Wondrous Item, very rare
This finely crafted piano is three inches wide and weighs less than a pound in its reduced state. When enlarged, it is 5” wide, 4” tall, 2” deep and weighs 500 pounds.
Enlarge / Reduce. You can use a bonus action to enlarge the piano to full size in a space within 10 feet of you. Each creature in the area where the piano appears must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d6 bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. In either case, the creature is pushed to an unoccupied space next to the piano. You can use a bonus action to reduce the piano again.
You can use an action to play a magic tune on the piano. Choose one of the following:
Rousing Tune. You cast Bless (Basic Rules, pg. 219) on a number of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus.
Melancholy Tune. You cast Bane (Basic Rules, pg. 216) on a number of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus.
Heroic Tune. You cast Heroism (Basic Rules, pg. 250) on a number of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus.
Use this item for Music Battles between bards, or buff your party with a magic melody. Let us know if you like the Pocket Piano and plan to use it in your game!
